Who Is Amanda Blumenthal?

Amanda is the premier intimacy coordinator in Los Angeles. Some of her intimacy coordinator credits include Euphoria (HBO), The Affair (Showtime), The L Word: Generation Q (Showtime), Carnival Row (Amazon), and How To Get Away With Murder (ABC). Prior to her career as an intimacy coordinator, she worked as a sex and relationship coach with private clients. Amanda completed advanced training in the Somatica method and provided clients with a unique therapeutic experience that combined verbal processing with somatic experiencing. She is a trauma-aware and kink-friendly professional and uses this expertise to inform her work as an intimacy coordinator.

Additionally, she is the founder of Intimacy Professionals Association (IPA). Through this organization she trains intimacy coordinators, represents several intimacy coordinators as their agent, and connects productions with consultants who are experts on topics related to gender and sexuality. She is also a member of the Time’s Up Safety Working Group and contributed to the Time’s Up Guide to Working in Entertainment, she consulted on the PGA’s Independent Project Safety Initiative (IPSI), and she is a leader in the movement to make intimacy coordinators a union position at SAG-AFTRA.
